Kiwanis Club of Howard Beach
ABOUT US

Our Role
The Kiwanis Club of Howard Beach, commonly referred to as the Howard Beach Kiwanis, is a non sectarian community service organization. It consists of members who meet weekly with an underlying purpose of fostering community spirit.
Our Club
Our club is 54 years old and the membership accounts for well earned and respected community organization. We currently have 50 members, who represent a cross section of the community. We are part of the greater Kiwanis of Queens, New York State, The United States, and Worldwide. Today the International Kiwanis family has more than 600,000 members in more than 13,000 clubs which serve 80 countries around the world.

Our members comprise a snapshot of residence from Howard Beach and surrounding communities. Membership ranges from business people to tradesmen, to professionals, to retirees, and varies in age from 18 to 90.

We all know that you can't pick your family but you can pick your friends, and in our club the members become what your family is touted to be.

The type of men you will meet vary from one end of the spectrum to the other. No one is higher or lower; all come together as friends.

Meetings are held over dinner on Thursday nights at 7pm., but you can arrive as late as 8pm. Topics of interest are discussed and guest speakers are occasionally invited to inform and educate our members.
